Beate Geissler (*1970 in Neuendettelsau) / Oliver Sann (*1968 in Düsseldorf). Geissler studied at the University of Design in Karlsruhe and Sann at the Academy of Media Arts in Cologne. The artist couple lives and works in Chicago, where Geissler holds a Professorship at the University of Illinois and Sann at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. The joint work “volatile smile“ is from 2010-2016.
