Silberkrieg

Hans Petri is a radical outsider in the art business. His works polarize with confusing, disturbing content. Girls in obscene poses, pictures of rubble and quotes from a pluralistic world between politics, advertising, culture and society develop, through artistic revision, an aura between glossiness, abjectness and exploitation. These are avowals to his own generation, whose insecurity and lack of direction ranges between pop culture and intellectuality.
