Rhein auf, Rhein ab

Joachim Rieger set off to re-explore the most water-abundant North Sea tributary in sometimes subtle images. He travelled up and down the Rhine in order to show the Rhine in its diversity - from source to mouth. The outcome is an unemotional declaration of love to perhaps the most fascinating river in Europe. Joachim Rieger is open to the new trends in photography; for example, he photographed the images for this exhibition exclusively with his smartphone.
