The Fotobuch-Quartett+ debates again – this time with Renate Gruber as guest!
To round off the 2016 Photoszene festival, Renate Gruber, Markus Schaden, Wolfgang Zurborn, Frank Dürrach and Damian Zimmermann will be debating and disputing four photobooks – their host, once again, the Museum of Applied Art Cologne.

The next Fotobuch-Quartett+

Sunday, 25 September 2016
Time: 4:30 p.m. admission, 5 p.m. start

Where: Museum für Angewandte Kunst Köln (MAKK)

An der Rechtschule, 50667 Cologne
Admission: 5 Euro

Photography is regarded as the guiding medium of our time. Yet there is barely any debating and disputing culture CONCERNING photography, as is a matter of course in literature, music, film or theatre. Affectionately and well-meaningly one moment, meanly and maliciously the next, and drawing inspiration from the “Literary Quartet”, Damian Zimmermann (Photoszene), Markus Schaden (The PhotoBookMuseum), Wolfgang Zurborn (Lichtblick School), Oliver Rausch and Frank Dürrach (both Fotoakademie-Koeln), along with an alternating guest, discuss four photobooks, live and in front of an audience. The events are recorded by FotoTV and then put online. The Fotobuch-Quartett+ is a format of Internationale Photoszene Köln: the first event took place as part of the Photoszene Festival 2014 at the Museum of Applied Art (MAKK); after that the Fotobuch-Quartett+ was a guest at the Kunsträume der Michael-Horbach-Stiftung, at the Forum für Fotografie, at the Zephyr in Mannheim and during the Cologne Art Book Fair 2015.
