Married to the Munies & Zahid

A typology of a hundred portraits of newly married couples, often strangers to each other a few hours before, examines the phenomenon of the annual mass wedding that takes place annually in Gapyeong, South Korea, at the “Unification Church”, also known as “Munies”.

Zahid has been waiting in a refugee camp for his asylum application to be processed since 2015. This is a multimedia work on waiting, being foreign and friendship.
